The award was conferred by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to 46 awardees from different Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies, People’s Organization, Industries and Media regionwide for promoting sustainable practices that led to the protection and conservation of the regions’ natural resources. The LGUs of Bacnotan, San Juan, City of San Fernando, Bauang, Naguilian, Caba and Pugo received the same award.

The said activity was participated in by OPD patients and watchers. National Allergy Day is observed every 8th day of July as declared in the Presidential Proclamation No. 1313. It aims to increase the awareness and educate the people on the growing problems on allergies.
