This skills training program is meant to maximize tourism potentials in the province by having enough number of accredited local tour guides in the various tourism destinations. 34 tourism enthusiasts from the municipalities of the 2nd District of La Union participated in said training.
With the aim to cope up with the increasing influx of tourists in the province, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Provincial Information Office – Tourism Operations Unit in collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT) – Region 1 will conduct a Community Guiding Training Course on July 22 – 28, 2019 as means to have more registered and accredited tour guides in La Union.
