Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III shares his experiences in the implementation of the Performance Governance System (PGS) in the Provincial Government of La Union during the Exit Conference of the Third Party Audit for the Proficiency Stage of PGS at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union on September 27, 2019. Around 22 day care pupils of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) Employees Child Development Center, together with their parents and guardians, joined the celebration of the National Family Day on September 26, 2019 at the Vista Grandia Resort, Bagbag, Bauang, La Union.

To strengthen bond among the pupils and their families, Child Development Workers Ms. Lerma L. Navarro and Ms. Angela Lyn Munar prepared different activities which included games such as Ball Relay, Balloon Relay, Stop Dance and Bring Me with the parent-child tandem. Highlight of the activity was the swimming in the pool.

According to the United Nations, the Day of Families “provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting them.” National Family Day is celebrated annually every September 26.

Almost 600 jobseekers from the different Local Government Units in La Union and nearby provinces join the La Union Jobs Fair 2019 on September 25, 2019 at Father Burgos Gymnasium, Saint Louis College, Carlatan, City of San Fernando, La Union. Also present during the event where representatives from the different National Government Agencies who rendered counseling services to jobseekers. La Union Jobs Fair 2019 is one of the activities of the Provincial Government of La Union through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) relative to the Civil Service Month Celebration. The second leg of the activity was conducted on September 27, 2019 at the Jose D. Aspiras Civic Center, Agoo, La Union.
