Gurtiza, a grade 11 student with a congenital limb difference, is a second timer Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) beneficiary hired by the Provincial Government of La Union assigned at the Public Employment Service Office (PESO). Jade’s customer service skills to PESO clients, his attitude, diligence and willingness to help are appreciated by his coworkers and clients. Jade’s journey to employment helps him understand the importance of dignity of labor.
Eco trail is an outdoor activity that includes hiking along locations next to points of environmental interest. This involves discovery of flora, fauna, wildlife and ecology, providing opportunity for tourists to develop awareness, appreciation and understanding of nature by taking part in an environmental trail.

The Provincial Government of La Union through the Office of the Provincial Governor – Environment and Natural Resources Unit (OPG-ENRU) conducts an environmental awareness campaign to the barangay chairpersons of Santol, La Union on October 29, 2019 at the Conference Room, Municipal Hall, Santol, La Union. Lecture series on the different environmental laws were conducted. Representatives from OPG-ENRU, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, and Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau Region 1 were present.
