Simultaneous with our CoViD-19 operations and our continuous and cohesive fight to defeat the pandemic, we held the La Union Health Summit 2021 to acknowledge our dear health workers and health institutions for their relentless sacrifices for the all kaprobinsiaan on September 24, 2021 in the open areas of Pugad Adventure Resorts , Pugo, La Union with limited participants only.
Environmental issues and concerns, such as solid waste management, wastewater management, community-based sanitation, water quality monitoring, greening program and native tree planting activity, artificial reef deployment, and energy conservation, were discussed as the Provincial Government of La Union – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) initiated a follow-up consultation meeting with concerned Local Government Units (LGUs). The consultation was conducted following the discussions during the “Time with Governor” program.
Relative to the 121st Philippine Civil Service Month celebration, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Provincial Public Employment Service Office in coordination with the La Union Provincial Tourism Office, provided a training-orientation webinar on the Employees’ Compensation Program and DOLE’s “Compliance to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards” and “The Basic Rights of Workers” to the 37 participants from the different tourism-related employers and workforce in the Province of La Union on September 21, 2021 through video conference.

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the La Union Medical Center (LUMC) joined the celebration of the World Patient Safety Day on September 17, 2021 with the theme “Safe Maternal and Newborn Care” by conducting lectures for expectant and new mothers.
In support to the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) #KalikasanNaman campaign, PGLU’s forefront program on fostering ecological integrity and clean and healthy environment, the Office of the Provincial Strategy (OPS) in collaboration with the Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) launched the Thousand Tree Challenge program by conducting tree planting of native trees on September 16, 2021 at Bilagan Road, Santol, and September 20, 2021 at Kudal Park, Tagudtud, Bagulin, La Union.
