Strengthening its culture and heritage initiatives through expanded collaboration and partnerships, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the La Union Provincial Tourism Office (LUPTO) โ Culture and the Arts Unit (CAU) attended a meeting with representatives of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) to set parameters and plans for the establishment of the Center for Ilokano Studies on June 29, 2022 at the DMMMSU- Mid-La Union (MLUC) Library.
Twenty component Local Government Units in the Province of La Union exhibited their support to the Provincial Government of La Unionโs peace and safety advocacy by entering a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in the establishment of La Union Peace, Order, and Public Safety System (POPPS) in the entire province.

On June 28, 2022, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of La Union headed by Vice Governor Mario Eduardo C. Ortega, conducted its 175th and final session highlighting the outstanding performance of the Board and its members over the last three years.
