Fostering #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan in preserving Marine Protected Areas in the Province, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) along with the Municipal Governments of San Fernando City, Caba, Bauang, and Aringay entered in to a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 1 and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – (BFAR) Regional Fisheries Office 1 for the establishment of CARBaSan Marine Protected Area Network on October 14, 2022 at the PDRRMO Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The Provincial Government of La Union continues to empower kaprobinsiaan to be informed and participative citizens through the capacitation of the different Information Officer (IO) designates of La Union’s component Local Government Units (LGUs) who are also members of the Information Officers of La Union Guild (IOLUG) during their Fourth Quarter Meeting on October 14, 2022 at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

To re-establish the Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan (POPS Plan) in the province, the Provincial Government of La Union, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government La Union Provincial Office headed by Dir. Reggie R. Colisao, CESOV, conducted a Provincial Orientation and Workshop on the Formulation of the POPS Plan FY 2023-2025 pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2022-118.

In continuous coming together to preserve the state of peace and order in the Province of La Union, the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and the La Union Anti-Drug Abuse Council (LUADAC) conducted a Joint Meeting on October 11, 2022 via video conferencing.

58 out of 107 students hailing from the different municipalities of La Union received their scholarship grants for the first semester of the school year 2022-2023 from Board Member Joy R. Ortega during the Joyful Scholarship Awarding Ceremonies on October 11, 2022 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Building, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
