Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David conducted a 3-day Familiarization Tour cum Fun Farmsthetic Seminar for the newly federated La Union Farm Tourism Association (LUFTA) at Region IV-A (CALABARZON) on November 4-6, 2022.

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) led by Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David virtually attended the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) Executive Committee (EXCOM) Meeting 2022 on November 1, 2022.
Coinciding with this year’s La Union Surfing Break, the Province of La Union hosted the 1st ever National Surfing Summit with a theme “Surf’s Up Philippines: Professionalizing the Philippine Surfing Industry” on October 26-29, 2022 at the Agora Events Center, Thunderbird Resorts, City of San Fernando, La Union. Highlighting the potential of the Philippines as a surfing destination, the Department of Tourism pulled strings to finally professionalize the surfing industry. Gracing the event were Surfing athletes, instructors, camp operators and enthusiasts. Department of Tourism (DOT) Regional Directors from various parts of the Philippines and other Tourism officials and professionals were also present.

Gearing towards the establishment of the La Union ICT Council as part of of Gov. Raphaelle Veronica Ortega-David’s P.U.S.O. Agenda, some employees of the Provincial Government of La Union joined the Convergence of Luzon ICT Champions Conference and Exhibitions (CLICkConEx) 2022 at Crown Royale Hotel, Balanga, Bataan last October 28, 2022.
Driven by passion to provide excellent and impactful service for sustainable tourism, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David was conferred with six Pearl Awards by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines, Inc., in partnership with the Department of Tourism for its exceptional practices, projects and innovations.

Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David immediately intervened to fast track the installment of PHIVOLCS Earthquake Intensity Scale (PEIS) of the Department of Science and Technology – Region 1 Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (DOST-PHIVOLCS) in the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Building, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union on October 27, 2022 in response to kaprobinsiaan’s clamor.
