Raphaelle Veronica โRafyโ Ortega-David led the oath-taking of the five newly appointed employees of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) as part of the first Monday flag ceremony for the month of January.
The implementation of the Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System (PAFES) in the province of La Union has officially kicked off with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) on January 9, 2023, at the Hotel Ariana, Paringao, Bauang, La Union.
Board Member and Tourism Committee Chairman Joy R. Ortega is taking her environmental advocacy to the next level through the program dubbed as โClassroom Without Walls.โThe initiative, which was created by BM Ortega, aims to educate young children on the importance of the environment through a fun and engaging way. The program is composed of a series of activities, spread over 4 days, to give children a hands-on experience in sustainable living and environmental conservation.
Garnering an average rate of 82%, Rachelle Belmoro of Brgy. San Miguel, Agoo, La Union placed 5th among the Top 10 highest rated passers in the November 2022 Geologist Licensure Exam, bringing pride and honor to the province.
From being a street photographer in the streets of the Province of La Union, the work of Mr. Rowell B. Timoteo from Brgy. Pagdaraoan, City of San Fernando, La Union was chosen by international curators as the only photo representing the Philippines exhibited physically in Goethe Institut, Hong Kong Arts Centre, Hong Kong for the 24 Hour Project.
Starting January 2023, Provincial Ordinance No. 398-2022 or the 2022 Revenue Code of the Province of La Union will be in full implementation.
