The Provincial Government of La Union has taken a significant step towards enhancing employment opportunities for licensed nurses through a collaboration with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). On August 23, 2023, a Free Orientation for Licensed Nurses was organized under the Government-to-Government Triple Win Program (TWP). Held at Hotel Ariana in Paringao, Bauang, La Union, the activity aimed to empower local nurses and provide them with avenues for growth and professional advancement while contributing to the international healthcare sector.

To ensure responsible social media page handling and to facilitate a more streamlined information flow in the Municipality of Luna, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David immediately granted the request of Mayor Gary N. Pinzon to conduct a Skills Enhancement Training to 32 employees who handle different social media pages and write news for the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Luna on August 23, 2023 at the temporary Command Center Building, Luna, La Union.

Kaprobinsiaan Clinch Gold in Nat’l Choral Competition

Competing with 13 choirs all over the country, kaprobinsiaan who are members of the Camerata College Choir of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-South La Union Campus emerged as Champion in the “Sing! Tarlac Sing! National Choral Festival and Competition” held at the Kaisa Convention Hall in Tarlac City on July 15-16, 2023.
