In time with the celebration of the Food Fortification Month, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Provincial Health Office strengthens its effort to promote sustained health and proper nutrition among kaprobinsiaan through conducting the Cookfest and Nutrifair held at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The Province of La Union, led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, has once again proven its excellence in tourism after clinching four prestigious awards at the 24th National Convention of the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Pearl Awards, held on October 5, 2023 at Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.

Celebrating the significant contributions of cooperatives in the progress of the Province of La Union, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist kicked off the Cooperatives Month Celebration with a coastal clean-up drive, dubbed as “Project RAFY,” at Agoo Eco Park, Barangay Sta. Rita, Agoo, La Union on October 2, 2023.

Nanay Ibing, as she is popularly known, was named one of the 2023 Sampung Ulirang Nakatatanda Awardees to be conferred by the Coalition of Services of the Elderly on October 8, 2023.
Delivering a sterling performance, La Union Paower Hoopers stepped into the spotlight after securing the long-awaited National Basketball Youth League Championship Title against Quezon City Simos during the Championship game held in Bocaue, Bulacan on September 30, 2023.
In the continuous effort of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) under the leadership of Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David to push for universal access to basic needs, the Provincial Information Office – Library and Archiving Unit conducted a Library Outreach Program to two remote schools in La Union to further bring PGLU services closer to kaprobinsiaan benefitting a total of 174 learners.
Strengthening digital governance, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Office of the Provincial Administrator – Human Resource Management Unit, and the Office of the Provincial Governor – Information and Communications Technology Unit and in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Regional Office 1 upskilled a total of 173 employees through the conduct of the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) Training and Computer Skills Training on Microsoft Excel on September 21 and 28, 2023, respectively, via Video Conferencing.
