The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist has once again recognized 33 outstanding and dedicated farmers, fisherfolks, and agripreneurs in the province through the second Aldaw ti Pammadayaw held on May 27, 2024 at the La Union Convention Center, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The Provincial Government of La Union, through the Provincial Youth Development Program under the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, in partnership with the the National Youth Commission (NYC), organized the “Youth Constituency Building: Championing SK Advocacy, where 80 youth advocates from Regions I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, NCR, and CAR participated in. Participants were composed of selected Local Youth Development Council members, Sangguniang Kabataan Officials, and Local Youth Development Officers.

In alignment with Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David’s call for Universal Access to basic needs in the province, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) conducted a series of healthcare activities around La Union this past week. Said activities are in view of PHO’s KaLUsugan Caravan, which aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services to kaPROBINSYAnihan, especially those in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas and Barangays in La Union.

In observance of the annual celebration of Heritage Month, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the La Union Provincial Tourism Office (LUPTO) – Culture and the Arts Unit, successfully concluded the 3rd La Union Annual Youth Taoid Camp (LUAYTC) on May 20-24, 2024 at the J&V Hotel and Resort, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.

In commemoration of the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day, the Provincial Government of La Union spearheaded the conduct of activities that aim to honor the memory of those who lost their lives to AIDS, show support to those living with HIV and AIDS, raise community awareness, decrease stigma, and mobilize community involvement in the fight against HIV/AIDS on May 24, 2024 at the La Union National High School (LUNHS), City of San Fernando, La Union.

The Association of La Union Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Officers (ALULEDIPO) pledged their full support to the Provincial Government of La Union’s ongoing initiatives aimed at fostering innovation. This was the highlight of the first association meeting of ALULEDIPO, initiated by the Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotion Office (LEEIPO) on May 22, 2024, at the BAC Conference Room in the Provincial Capitol Building in the City of San Fernando.

Dedicated to preserving the biodiversity in the Province, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) headed by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David organized a Biodiversity Assessment at Budahaw Falls on May 22, 2024, at Burgos, La Union.
