BLDH Conducts Newborn Screening

In observance of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Month, Nurse II Claire V. Ramirez of Balaoan District Hospital (BLDH) discusses the importance of Newborn Screening and Newborn Hearing Tests to pregnant and lactating women at the outpatient department, BLDH, Balaoan, La Union on July 29, 2019. Said activity aims to detect any potentially fatal or disabling conditions in newborns. The doctors and nurses make sure that 100 percent of babies born at the hospital undergo tests within 24 hours before they will be discharged to ensure their health and safety.
