BDH Cancer Awareness

CANCER AWARENESS. In celebration of the Liver Cancer and Viral Hepatitis Awareness and Prevention Month as well as the National Cancer Consciousness Week, Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) staff, led by its Chief, Dr. Zenserly D. Pagaduan, conducts a Cancer Awareness and Health Advocacy among the Youth on January 24, 2019 at Bacnotan National High School – Junior High School. Students learned from various topics such as hepatitis and cancer prevention, tobacco smoking cessation, HIV/AIDS prevention and hand hygiene during the series of lectures discussed by physicians, nurse and medical technologist from BDH. Ms. Lorna F. Sayago, a nurse who worked overseas also shared her experience on her battle against breast cancer. Such activities involve the youth in the attainment of the health goal of Gov. Pacoy which is “Healthy La Union, Happy La Union by 2022.”
