Ayat Fest 2024 Conducts La Union Jobs Fair, Hires 74 Jobseekers on the Spot

To shower love to the Jobseeker KaPROBINSYAnihan, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted the Ayat Fest La Union Jobs Fair 2024 on February 27, 2024, at the CSI Mall, Biday, City of San Fernando, La Union.
A total of 3,006 job vacancies were offered by 32 local and five overseas companies from La Union and nearby provinces. It logged 289 registered jobseekers online and 346 walk-in jobseekers, from which 74 jobseekers were hired on the spot (HOTS) from the 41 HOTS from last year's Ayat Fest La Union Jobs Fair. This manifests how PGLU strives for development in the annual celebration to help more KaPROBINSYAnihan land steady employment opportunities.
Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David explained PGLU’s main objective in organizing the activity, “...napakarami po nating nagsama-sama today to help connect job seekers with employers and, in turn, empower our workforce that will positively impact our local economic growth. Every secured job offer today entails development for our beloved province of La Union.”
“It is our hope that by doing these, we also help pursue your dreams in your process of successfully securing career positions. Kaya napakasaya po ng puso ko na ginagawa po natin ito as part of the 174th La Union Founding Anniversary,” she added.
Among the partner agencies tapped by PGLU to provide desk services during the jobs fair were La Union Field Office of the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry—Region I, Overseas Worker and Welfare Administration—Regional Office I, Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office I, Social Security System San Fernando Branch, Philhealth Regional Office I, Pag-IBIG Fund—La Union Branch, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority La Union.
The PGLU thanked the CSI Mall La Union for its contributions to the event's success. The La Union Jobs Fair is just one of the many activities in line for the Ayat Festival 2024 which are intended to provide support and guidance while interjecting entertaining and thrilling aspects for all KaPROBINSYAnihan to experience.
