Government Work and Classes at all levels in both public and private institutions across the province will RESUME tomorrow, September 4, 2024.
However, in line with the Department of Education’s Order No. 037, s. 2022, all primary and secondary schools in areas still under any Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal can immediately cancel classes.
Local Chief Executives, Business Owners, and School Heads have the authority to cancel work and classes in their respective jurisdictions and organizations if they deem necessary.

PGLU Monitors Provincewide Safety from #EntengPH

To ensure everyone’s safety from the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm #EntengPH, a clearing operation was conducted in Barangay Catbangen, City of San Fernando, La Union in partnership with the City Government of San Fernando, today, September 3, 2024 along with the continued field observation of the Provincial Government of La Union response cluster around the province.

Based on the advisory of DOST-PAGASA issued at 8:00 AM today, September 3, 2024, municipalities of LUNA, SANTOL, SAN JUAN, BAGULIN, BANGAR, SAN GABRIEL, BACNOTAN, SUDIPEN, BALAOAN, and CITY OF SAN FERNANDO remains to be under TCW Signal No. 1. While only part of La Union is under a TCW signal, everyone is advised to take necessary precautions.
In accordance to Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David’s Executive Order No. 47 series of 2024 classes in all levels of all private and public institutions, and work in all government offices is suspended.
As of 8:00 AM, the center of the eye of TS #EntengPH was estimated, based on all available data, over the coastal waters of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center, and gustiness of up to 115 km/h while moving West northwestward at 20 km/h.

Dahil nananatiling nasa ilalim ng Typhoon Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 ang La Union, suspendido pa rin po ang Pasok sa 𝗟𝗔𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗦 ng 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻. Ganun din po ang mga 𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗚𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗧 𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗔 𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗢𝗕𝗬𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗢 na nasa probinsya. Ito po ay sa bisa ng Executive Order No. 47 series of 2024.

PGLU Renews Oath of Office in Honor of PH Civil Service Anniversary

PGLU Launches Key Tax Education Initiatives

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, has undertaken significant efforts to bolster tax education and management during the first semester of 2024. As part of its comprehensive Information Education Communication (IEC) campaign, it conducted two pivotal activities aimed at enhancing public awareness and streamlining tax processes, the Real Property Tax Campaign in Barangay Assemblies and the Seminar Workshop on Public Auction Processes.
