As part of the Provincial Government of La Union’s Linggo ng Kabataan celebration, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and the La Union Provincial Tourism Office successfully hosted the Elyukanows Quiz Bee for Elyucanong Kabataan held on August 20, 2024, at the Speaker Pro-Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Provincial Legislative Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.

In celebration of National Tourism Month, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the La Union Provincial Tourism Office (LUPTO) hosted the GIYA: Tour Guiding Competition on September 11, 2024. This event brought together 10 talented tourism students from various institutions, including Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus, LORMA Colleges, Polytechnic College of La Union, Saint Louis College, and Sea and Sky College.

To continually enhance the capabilities of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) employees, the Office of the Provincial Governor conducted the Reorientation on Procurement Processes and the Updated Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Republic Act 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act on September 10-11, 2024 at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center (La Union Convention Center), City of San Fernando, La Union.

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) took a significant step forward in its pursuit of innovation-driven growth with the official opening of the “Launchpad: Provincial Innovation Orientation.” This forward-thinking initiative, developed in collaboration with key stakeholders, aims to empower PGLU employees and the Provincial Innovation Council with the necessary tools and expertise to cultivate a robust culture of innovation across the province.
