To entertain and lessen the pain and burden that the patients feel, Naguilian District Hospital (NDH) employees put smiley stickers on their face shields and face masks on May 10, 2021. Since wearing face masks and face shields hides the smiles of employees, OICโChief of Hospital Dr. Eduardo S. Posadas encouraged hospital staff to put the emoticons to represent the smiles under the facemasks of NDH employees. Patients expressed their appreciation of the simple gesture and said that it is cute and the smiley is contagious.
