As of May 23, 2021, 8:00 PM, we recorded 27 recoveries. Through our extensive contact tracing and targeted testing efforts, the province has yielded 15 new confirmed CoViD-19 cases.

ADVISORY NO. 44 OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES FOR ACCOMMODATION ESTABLISHMENTS UNTIL MAY 31, 2021

#PGLUADVISORY: LEISURE TRAVEL INTO AND OUT OF NCR PLUS NOT ALLOWED
Pursuant to DOT Advisory No. 5 S. 2021, leisure travel into and out of NCR Plus is not allowed, except for Point-to-Point (P2P) air travel to accommodation establishments that have been granted a Certificate of Authority to Operate for Point-to-Point Air Leisure Travel (CAO P2P). For this purpose, the guidelines under DOT Administrative Order (AO) No. 2021-003 shall apply;

PGLU CONDUCTS BALAOAN WATCHTOWER SITE VALIDATION, CONSULTATION

The PGLU-LGU Balaoan validation team conducts site validation at Balaoan Watchtower located in Brgy. Almeida, Balaoan, La Union on May 21, 2021. The LGU is currently coordinating with the National Museum of the Philippines for the official launch of the site’s heritage marker to bear the cultural and historical significance of the watchtower. Inputs from the site validation will serve as the basis of the province for cultural development planning as well as future policies and regulations.

PRC La Union Chapter Aligns with the PGLU Strategy

In an effort to align their chapter plan to the Provincial Government’s strategy, Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III was invited to present during the PRC La Union Chapter Development Workshop on May 21, 2021 via online conference.
Gov. Pacoy cascaded the Stronger La Union Strategy and proposed programs that the organization can adopt to complement the Province’s strategic objectives and enable efficient utilization of resources. He also emphasized that governance is a shared responsibility and the Province cannot succeed without the collaboration of all stakeholders. Gov. Pacoy stated, “Your effort to align your organizational strategy to the Province’s Stronger La Union Strategy will surely be a game-changer as we both carry out our shared principle of uplifting the quality of lives of the people.“
Moving forward, the PRC shall craft their strategy and shall continue to collaborate with the PGLU in order to propel the Province to greater heights and build a #StrongerLaUnion.
