PGLU Launches QR Code for COVID-19 VAX Card

The Provincial Government of La Union continuously banks on technology to improve public service providing security and convenience. With the utilization of the Quick Response Code (QR Code), one can now easily verify whether the vaccination card is genuine or fake. As the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU), piloted the integration of the QR code on the CoViD-19 Vaccination Card, the option to scan the QR Code will disclose the inoculation information of the vaccinee as a tamper-proof that the individual truly got his/her jab. It is now being piloted with PGLU and some national government employees who got their jab through the Provincial Health Office clinic. Once the system is fully in place, those inoculated through various Rural Health Units of the province will be provided with the same QR equipment cards. The Provincial Government of La Union continues to adapt and use digital tools for the convenience of every Kaprobinsiaan especially in these trying times.
