PGLU CELEBRATES IP MONTH THROUGH “BALLAYGI” PROGRAM

To acknowledge the achievements and contributions of Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) of the province, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the La Union Provincial Tourism Office – Culture and Arts Section, joined the nation in celebrating the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) Month through the conduct of the hybrid program BALLAYGI (victory): IP Month 2021 Celebration. Ballaygi has two (2) components, namely TUN-OY (reach out): 2021 PGLU IP Caravan, and TUNOS (being in harmony with): IP Educational Documentary.

Recognizing his relentless commitment in upholding peace and order in La Union and Region 1, the leadership of the Philippine National Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) selected Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III to serve as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the 120th Police Service Anniversary of PRO 1 on October 28, 2021 at PRO 1 Grandstand, Camp BGEN Oscar M Florendo, Parian, City of San Fernando, La Union.

To give updates, recalibrate and ramp up the CoViD-19 Vaccination Operations across the different local government units (LGUs) in La Union, Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III called for a Virtual Discussion Meeting with the League of Municipalities of the Philippines – La Union and City of San Fernando on October 28, 2021.
