The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Committee on Tourism chaired by Board Member (BM) Joy R. Ortega extended its support to strengthen the Safety and Security in Tourism Accommodation Establishments in San Juan, La Union, a major tourist destination in La Union, during a meeting with San Juan Restaurant, Resort and Hotel Association (SJRRHAss) and San Juan Apartment and Apartelle Association (SJAAA) on July 28, 2022 at San Juan, La Union. The activity was spearheaded by the La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO) led by PCOL JONATHAN G CALIXTO.

With the collective efforts of every department in sustaining the delivery of good governance and La Union PROBINSYAnihan in the Province, the Provincial Government of La Union successfully passed the first stage of the Integrated Management System (IMS) Audit after sustaining its compliance with the standard requirements followed by its recommendation for the second stage audit for continuous certification.

BLDH receives wheel chair donations for patients

As a support to Balaoan District Hopsital’s mandate in providing medical care and services to its patients, private company TSS Corporation donated four units of wheel chairs to BDH on July 28, 2022. Received by Hospital Chief Dr. Mark Anthony S. Tomboc, the said donations will be utilized in comfortably transporting patients within the hospital premises.

Ensuring the safety of all employees, clients, and patients of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO), led by Provincial Engineer Ressie A. Estrella, immediately deployed all engineers to conduct an inspection of all provincial government buildings and district hospitals after the earthquake last July 27, 2022.

To provide aid and cultivate a sense of hope in areas that were greatly affected by the magnitude 7 earthquake on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, particularly in the provinces of Ilocos Sur and Abra, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) headed by Gov. Rafy Ortega-David, in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP), delivered 2000 pieces of four liters of bottled water to the said provinces on July 29, 2022.
