To further strengthen the privacy and security of all the data collected and processed by the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), the Office of the Provincial Governor-Information and Communications Technology Unit (OPG-ICTU) in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region I (DICT-R1) conducted a three-day training and seminar on the Data Privacy Protection via Video Conferencing.

Improving the core employability skills of young jobseekers and increasing their confidence and good work ethics when they enter the labor market as part of the workforce, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Public Employment Service Office successfully conducted the Employability Enhancement Training for Young Jobseekers at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) Covered Court, Catbangen, City of San Fernando, La Union.

To inspire and encourage healthcare workers to strive for excellence in health, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Provincial Health Office recognizes exceptional efforts and remarkable achievements of Local Government Units (LGUs) with this year’s Gawad Kalusugan Award: Pagkilala sa Dekalidad at Mapagkalingang Serbisyong Pangkalusugan Para Sa Kaprobinsiaan held at Hotel Ariana, Paringao Bauang, La Union on December 11, 2023.

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the leadership of Gov. Rafy Ortega–David, shines at the 36th Aliw Awards at the Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel, Manila on December 11, 2023. The PGLU received a distinction as Best in Festival Practices for Ayat Festival 2023: The 173rd La Union Founding Anniversary” and Best Festival Catalyst/Organizer for Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David. The Mutia ti La Union 2023 was also nominated for Best Events Production in the said award. The awards were conferred by the Aliw Awards Foundation Inc., to honor and distinguish achievements in the live entertainment industry in the Philippines. This testifies to PGLU’s commitment to providing quality events and activities to preserve cultural heritage and promote La Union as the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
