Supporting the Province of La Union’s initiative towards rehabilitation and reintegration of Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) through Bahay Pag-asa (BPA) Project, the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (JJWC) has turned over to Gov. Following the fire incident in the City of San Fernando Auxiliary Market, today, January 11, 2024, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David has directed the offices of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) to convene an emergency meeting for a comprehensive post-incident report on damages and to coordinate and formulate immediate plans and action for assistance to affected market vendors and stall owners. Among the initial immediate actions taken by the PGLU were the distribution of food and lunch packs to the victims and the provision of psychological and medical assistance.
