The Municipal Assessors League of La Union (MALLU), in cooperation with the Office of the Provincial Assessors (OPAss), sponsored the First Autocad Software Usage and Mapping Maintenance with related laws on mapping and surveying seminar-workshop on May 9-11, 2018 at Puerto de San Juan Resort, San Juan, La Union.

This activity was conducted to prepare attendees for the General Revision of the 2019 Real Property Assessment and Classification. Municipal assessors of the 19 municipalities of La Union together with their technical staff attended the said seminar.

It is expected that the General Revision of the 2019 Real Property Assessment and Classification will cause some people to consider it as an additional burden. Thus, before its effectivity, the OPAss and MALLU planned to spread awareness about the benefits that this will bring to the people of the province. After the revision, it is expected that there will be more accurate basis for revenue forecasting and targeting; more transparent and active property market; fair and equitable distribution of the tax burden; improved revenue collection; improved credibility of the Schedule of Market Values; and better informed property owners.

MALLU is headed by its President Engr. Leila P. Valdriz. PAO on the other hand, is headed by Engr. Arnulfo A. Cacho, DPA. These offices strive to make the Province of La Union updated with the latest information on real property and other matters.
