NDH Recognized as Top Performing Newborn Screening Facility in Region 1

As a display of continuous medical advancement and excellence, Naguilian District Hospital (NDH), headed by Dr. Dan William Y. Dacanay II, was awarded as one of the Top-Performing Newborn Screening (NBS) Facilities under Level 1 and 2, Government Hospital Category, with a collection age of 1.13 for the 4th quarter of 2023 by the Newborn Screening Center - Northern Luzon Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital on February 5, 2024.

NDH's Newborn Screening facility houses a neonatal laboratory and performs all necessary laboratory tests as well as recalls and follow-up services for newborns with heritable disorders. NBS Coordinator Ms. Kristine Marie S. Ventura, Medical Technologist II oversees the said services.
