PGLU Commends PNP-RO1 RD PBGEN Evangelista; Calls for Serbisyong Nagkakaisa Aligned with La Union PROBINSYAnihan

The Provincial Government of La Union and its Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) recognized PBGEN Lou Frias Evangelista through Resolution Number 1858-2023 for being the new Philippine National Police - Regional Office 1 Regional Director during the 82nd Regular Session of the 23rd Sangguniang Panlalawigan on January 23, 2024, at the Speaker Pro-Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Provincial Legislative Bldg. and Session Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union.
RD Evangelista expressed his gratitude to Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, Vice Governor Mario Eduardo C. Ortega, SP Committee on Peace and Order, and Public Safety Chairperson Board Member Gerard G. Ostrea, and the whole August Body as he committed to offer himself to service to uphold a safe and orderly region. He said, “Let me enjoin you to rally behind me in making the Province of La Union as a safe and secured homeland for everyone…Hinihikayat ko po kayo na itaguyod po natin ang serbisyong nagkakaisa para sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa ating probinsya.”
Among the plans for peace and order of the regional director include the launching of the Police Community Academy; Declaration of Drug-free Provinces; Digital Literacy for Crime Prevention; Empowering Police through Continuous Training for Modern Crime Challenges; Crime Analytics Center; Fostering Integrity and Swift Justice through Effective Law Enforcement; Fortifying Public Safety and Integral Security for a Prosperous Region 1.
With the leadership of RD PBGEN Evangelista, it is expected that more collaborative work in the government, peacekeeping agencies, and KaPROBINSYAnihan will be expected to maintain peace, order, and security in the province.
