Prompt, Coordinated Response from PGLU, Gov. Rafy Eases Worry of Fire Victims in Baccuit; Emphasized #AlertoKaprobinsiaan

The Provincial Government of La Union, led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David promptly assisted nine individuals including a six-month old and three-day old babies who were victims of the fire incident that broke out afternoon of January 18, 2024 at Baccuit Sur, Bauang, La Union.
Gov. Rafy personally visited the site of the incident to assess the gravity of the situation and to express empathy to the fire victims.
As an immediate relief, PGLU provided food packs, hygiene kits, and sleeping kits to the victims.
On the other hand, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and emergency services from Local Government of Bauang and nearby municipalities including La Union Rescue 911 were quick to respond in the fire incident showcasing their #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan. The BFP declared fire out at 5:10 in the afternoon.
Following the fire incident in the City of San Fernando, Gov. Rafy reminded the public to be #AlertoKaprobinsiaan and emphasized the importance of community support during challenging times and urged kaPROBINSYAnihan to come together and help in any way they could.
Monetary and in-kind donations including supplies for babies are highly encouraged to be dropped at the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office (MSWDO) of Bauang.
