PGLU Builds Channel of Transformative Excellence through IMS Recertification

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) continues to move forward to greater heights as it passes the Recertification Audit for the established Integrated Management System (IMS) at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. This embodies excellent compliance and implementation of the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards in the systems and procedures of the PGLU while ensuring efficient public service delivery to Kaprobinsiaan.
The NQA Global Certification Body highlighted good points in their audit findings including Commendable commitment of the top management and staff in implementing and maintaining the IMS; Noteworthy improvement of the documented information related to the IMS; and Continual improvements were evident by the awards and recognition received by the PGLU such as the Best Tourism Promotions Award and Best Event Hosting from the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines – Department of Tourism Pearl Awards 2023, Most Competitive Province in Region I and 7th Place Nationwide from the National Competitiveness Council, and 1st Place in the Regional Subaybayani Awards – Provincial Category of the Department of Interior and Local Government, among others. Areas for improvement were also raised in the audit findings of the NQA.
Indeed, the PGLU sustains a high standard of management system that aims to meet its objectives. PGLU is envisioned as a hallmark of transformative governance, significantly impacting organizational effectiveness and fostering change and empowerment in the province.
