SP SEC. DONATO A. RIMANDO RETIRES, BIDS FAREWELL TO PGLU

After 36 years of dedicated public service, Mr. Donato "Sir Don" A. Rimando, the Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of La Union, has bid farewell to his colleagues in the Provincial Government, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, wisdom, and camaraderie.
In recognition of his remarkable service, Sir Don was honored with a Service Award by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David during the monthly First Monday Flag-raising Ceremony of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) on September 4, 2023. Said award is a testament to his tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the people of La Union.
Prior to this conferment a send-off program was held by officials and staff of the SP on September 1, 2023 to express their gratitude and celebrate Sir Don's outstanding contributions to the province.
The program was filled with emotions as heartfelt speeches and messages were shared underscoring the impact Sir Don had in the SP and its members.
In his message, Vice Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega praised Sir Don's dedication, knowledge sharing, and mentorship that led to his success in his work. "Isu iti mangpaneknek that you have been successful in the place of work. How you have molded and how you have shared your knowledge and experiences with the Secretariat and with everybody, even the Bokales,” the Vice Gov said.
As a response, Sir Don expressed his profound gratitude to the PGLU and SP. He shared, "Agyamanak kadakayo amin. Your commitment, camaraderie, and cooperation gave me inspiration to bring out the best in me during my service to the Provincial Government of La Union. I shall cherish the memories, the friendship, the hardship, the challenges, and the unity and cooperation between and among the department heads. I shall cherish all these memories. Thank you very much."
Throughout his 36-year career, Sir Don served as a dedicated employee of the SP from October 1986 to August 2023, he has served as the Secretary to the Sanggunian since 2014.
As Sir Don embarks on a new chapter in his life, his legacy of service, camaraderie, and dedication will continue to inspire future generations of public servants in La Union.
