PGLU, LGU-Luna, different NGAs celebrate World Wetlands Day: Conduct Mangrove Planting

The province of La Union and the kaprobinsiaan proved that they are part of #GenerationRestoration as they partake in this year’s World Wetlands Day activity-celebration held in Luna, La Union.
The Provincial Government-Environment and Natural Resources Office, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Luna and different National Government Agencies, conducted mangrove planting at Barangay Pila to ensure the conservation and sustainable management of wetlands in Luna.
Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David also expressed her support for the said activity and encouraged everyone to continue taking part in #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan in support of the Provincial Government’s #KalikasanNaman campaign.
World Wetlands Day is celebrated every 2nd day of February to raise awareness of wetlands’ vital role in biodiversity and mankind.
