Gov't Employees exhibit #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan to Increase the Province's Blood Supply

Government employees from the Province of La Union proved that they are called not just to serve the people but also to save lives as they took part in the Blood Donation Drive initiated by the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) on January 24, 2023 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Building, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Kaprobinsiaan government employees from different PGLU Offices, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Education, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Land Bank of the Philippines; and uniformed personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection and Philippine National Police gathered to voluntarily donate blood in support of the PGLU and Provincial Health Officeβs (PHO) objective to increase blood supply in the province.
A total of 42 bags of blood donations were collected from the said activity which were immediately turned-over to the La Union Medical Center, the Provincial Blood Bank of La Union.
The PHO, through their Medical Technologist II and Provincial Blood Coordinator Ms. Jonalyn V. Fernandez, gave appreciation to all blood donors. She also hopes that through their noble acts, they would inspire and encourage more volunteers to do the same and save lives.
The PHO targets to conduct two blood-letting activities for this year to increase the provinceβs blood supply, hence, the PHO continues to provide information and sends a message across the province drawing attention to the role of voluntary blood donation in saving lives while participating in the call of La Union PROBINSYAnihan.
The PGLU remains committed in its effort to increase awareness and intensify blood donation activities in the province for easier access and timely supply of safe and quality blood and blood products in the province to help those in need and save lives.
