As part of Governor Raphaelle Veronica โRafyโ Ortega-Davidโs First 100 Days Commitment to achieve People Centered and Driven Governance, the Naguilian District Hospital (NDH) headed by Dr. Dan William Y. Dacanay II, MD., DFM, conducted an Outreach Program in the Barangay Dagup, Bagulin, La Union on September 28, 2022.
Series of lecture promoting different advocacies were shared to the constituents of Dagup. Dr. Cinderella Florendo discussed about the Adolescent and promoted the NDH center of Hope Adolescent Friendly Health Clinic. Dr. Cherrymae Belarmino gave lectures about Women and Obstetrics, Ms. Beberly L. Picardal talked about the Senior Citizens Health, Ms. Jennifer Gapasin informed the participants about the Smoking Cessation clinic of NDH in which she gave a lecture on the negative effects of smoking and tips on how to quit it. And Ms. Geraldine Garcia and Ms. Jessa Aida Badbadaoi the social worker of Bagulin informed the participants about RA 9994 or the Senior Citizen Expanded Welfare Act.
Simultaneously, NDH conducted medical and dental check-up with the help of the Provincial Health Office and distributed vitamins and medicines to the constituents of Brgy. Dagup. A Tree Planting activity was also conducted by NDH Employees together with Brgy. Council of Dagup, where different kinds of fruit bearing trees were planted such as: Rambutan, Coffee, Longgan, Calamansi, Macopa and other more seedlings which were provided by the Provincial Agriculture Office. Also, with the help of Provincial Veterinary Office, an Animal Anti Rabies Vaccination was conducted. The RHU of Bagulin also took the chance to administer a Covid19 Vaccination Booster Shots to the constituents of Dagup, Bagulin.
Mayor Virgilio C. Flor Municipal and Vice Mayor Jaime A. Lictao of Bagulin, La Union, as well as the members of the Barangay Council of Brgy. Dagup were grateful for the said outreach program for their constituents.
Truly, with #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, more kaprobinsiaan, especially from rural municipalities, will be provided with free services from the Provincial Government, an indication of a people-centered and driven governance.
