Provincial Governor Raphaelle Veronica โRafyโ Ortega-David confirms that La Union moves forward with its vision to become โThe Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025โ during the Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA) CY 2023-2025 Formulation Part II: Visioning Workshop cum Strategy Refresh held last September 21, 2022 at Hotel Ariana, Bauang, La Union.
The workshop was led by the Governor and was attended by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, namely Hon. Ruperto A. Rillera, Jr. and Hon. Maria Rosario Eufrosina P. Nisce, together with the Senior Transformative Leadership Team, the La Union Multi-Sectoral Governance Council, and the key departments of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU).
Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC) and OIC-Assistant Chief of the Office for Provincial Strategy, Ms. Michaela Louise T. Delfinado, discussed the La Union Performance Governance System Journey and the achievements of the PGLU since its initiation. The previous versions of the La Union Strategy Roadmap and Enterprise Scorecard were also presented, which were utilized during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Afterward, Mr. Jericho Paolo L. Zafra, Development Management Officer IV of OPS, presented the Agri-Tourism Strategy as of the 1st semester of 2022 to review the Provinceโs current status in the attainment of its Agri-Tourism Vision. This was followed by the Visioning Workshop by PPDC Delfinado, which triggered the recalibration of the strategy. This resulted in adjustments within the enterprise scorecard and recalibration of indicators to highlight Public-Private Partnerships, emphasize revenue generation or local income collection, and explore possible innovation programs.
Complemented by the spirit of #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, the refined Agri-Tourism strategy shall serve as the basis for formulating the ELA CY 2023-2025, which will dictate the major thrusts of the present administration within the next three years.
