Kasunod ng direktiba ni Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David at sa kanyang panawagan para sa #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, agad na umikot ang Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) sa lahat ng component Local Government Units (LGU) sa La Union para sa Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis upang siguruhin ang kaligtasan ng bawat kaprobinsiaan matapos ang nangyaring lindol ngayong umaga ng Hulyo 27, 2022.
Ayon sa Situational Report ng PDRRMO, Intensity VI o "Very Strong" ang naramdaman sa Probinsya ng La Union. Ayon din dito, may mga naitalang cracks sa ilang gusali, simbahan, tulay, at sira sa bypass road; bahagyang pagtaas ng lebel ng tubig; landslide at pagguho ng mga ginagawang gusali.
Batay sa isinagawang paunang assessment, bagamat may apat na injuries, walang naiulat na malubhang nasaktan o namatay. Ang mga kaprobinsiaang lumikas sa kanilang mga tahanan sa LGU Bangar ay nananatili sa Municipal Evacuation Center kung saan sila na ay nabibigyan ng pagkain, maiinom at mga gamot ng Municipal Government. Samantalang ang mga lumikas naman mula sa Munisipalidad ng Luna, Santol, at Bagulin ay muli nang bumalik sa kani-kanilang tahanan kasunod ng anunsyo ng National Disaster Reduction and Management Council na walang banta ng Tsunami.
Kasalukuyang kapansin-pansin naman na naging #AlertoKaprobinsiaan ang bawat isa sa pagbabantay ng anumang aftershock ng lindol.
Kasama rin sa pag-iikot si Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Gerard G. Ostrea na siyang Chairperson on Committee on Disaster Preparedness and Management and Relief Services.
Ang bawat isa ay pinapaalalahan na manatiling nakaalerto sa pamamagitan ng pagtutok sa mga anunsyo ng beripikadong information sources; paghanda ng emergency go bag; paglayo sa mga istrukturang naapektohan ng lindol; at pananatiling kalmado.
Patuloy na nakaalerto ang mga medical, frontine at rescue operations team ng Provincial Government of La Union at bukas rin ang emergency hotlines 911 at 0998-961-1519.
Kung ang bawat kaprobinsiaan ay nagtutulungan, mas masisiguro ang kaligtasan ng bawat isa sa #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan.
