La Union pumps up Bike Tourism as it held the Aqua 10 Bike Trail La Union Enduro Race on June 12, 2022 at Barangay Baraoas, City of San Fernando.

261 pro-bikers from all over the country participated in the Enduro Race. There were 8 competition categories. The Menโ€™s Open Category was dominated by Jerich Farr from the National Team followed by Brian Lagasca from La Union Racing Team and Kenneth Banico from Twelve Bike Racing who placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively. The Hardtail Category was championed by Jerwin Viloria from the La Union Racing Team while the Womenโ€™s Category was topped by Angel Lei Uy from AC Cycle. Frederick Farr from the National Team won the Menโ€™s 40 and Above Category while Mark Kris Dela Vega from DMR Racing Team took the top spot for the Menโ€™s 30 to 39 Category. Thomas Dean Baday from Sayote Boiz Amature XC placed first in the Menโ€™s 20 to 29 Category. June Philip Bautista from the La Union Racing Team was declared as champion for the Menโ€™s 14 to 19 Category while the Menโ€™s 13 and Below Category was won by Ryan Jake Saducos from Lagui Bikers Team.

La Union Provincial Tourism Officer, Arthur S. Cortez, Jr. in his welcome speech, shared that the La Union Enduro Race is the product of the Bike and Nature Trails Mapping done by the Department of Tourism Region 1 and the Provincial Government of La Union with the help of Bike Bros. He mentioned that the PGLU is also looking forward to explore other trails and create more events to promote Bike Tourism in the Province. Board Member Jonathan Justo A. Orros for his part thanked all participants for supporting the debut event of Bike Tourism in La Union. He said that event is a manifestation that there is indeed more to La Union other than surfing and its pristine beaches.

The event was organized by Bike Bros La Union in partnership with the Provincial Government of La Union, Department of Tourism - Region 1, Lupon ng mga Indibidwal na Nangangalaga ng Kalikasan (LINK) and Tropang Alf.
