Now on the Second Quarter of 2022, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) conducted an Annual Investment Plan (AIP) Coaching and Strategic Targeting Session to the different PGLU offices, work units and hospitals to ensure that the organization is proactive in planning and budgeting for the upcoming programs, projects and activities for 2023.

The different offices, work units, and hospitals prepared their AIP 2023 together with their respective project briefs this month and was reviewed by the Provincial Planning and Development Office and the Office for the Provincial Strategy. Initial Findings were discussed in the coaching session were gaps in the alignment to the Gender and Development Plan, Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan, and the AIP Format were identified. One-on-one coaching and strategic targeting are expected to be conducted in the coming days to finalize the plan.

Early planning sessions facilitate the timely submission of the AIP as basis for the Province’s Local Expenditure Program (LEP) according to the Planning- Budgeting Calendar of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). This is one of our strategies to ensure readiness and completeness of programs in the incoming year for continuous sustainable and inclusive development that improves the quality of life of the people.
