In line with the Celebration of Nagulian District Hospitalโs (NDH) 50th Anniversary, the staff undergone a three-day Basic Life Support (BLS) Training last March 21-23, 2022 in collaboration with Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).
Said training was made for the NDS staff to hone and re-learn their life saving skills which is essential as hospital employees. For three days, participants were taught and equipped with basic knowledge and were introduced to different methodologies and techniques in saving lives.
On the first day of their BLS Training, the staff were given lectures on basic first aid techniques, proper dressing and bandaging of wounds, proper procedures in performing a Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and appropriate usage and handling of spine board. To check the participantsโ comprehension during the previous day, an examination and return demonstration was done during the second day. For the third day, a simulated road accident was organized to assess how NDH staff would respond using the life-supporting skills they have acquired during the BLS Training.
NDH has organized the BLS Training for all of their staff in batches. Second and third batches will be on April 6-8, 2022 and April 20-22, 2022, respectively.
