To achieve a majority of fully vaccinated Filipinos, Bacnotan District Hospital (BCDH), headed by Dr. Zenserly D. Pagaduan, started its Pediatric Vaccination for kids aged 5-11 on February 16, 2022.
The vaccination area was turned into a childrenβs party themed playground to entice the vaccinees. La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO) Mascot, Police Lieutenant Diego, was also invited to grace the activity and lighten up the mood of our young vaccinees. A dance number was also presented by two bubbly BCDH Manong Ambulance Drivers Hesus Linos Balingit and Ivan Kenneth Obillo.
The hardworking vaccination team of BCDH inoculated ninety-four (94) excited boys and girls who were gifted with stuffed toys and loot bags. After getting their vaccines, they gladly posed for a picture. Department of Health (DOH) representatives were also present during the event.
As requisite, the vaccinees were accompanied by their parents or guardians who were required to sign waivers and submit birth certificates.
With this vaccination roll out, our young ones were provided protection against the deadly disease. Coupled with the continuous adherence to the minimum public health standards, we are now gearing towards a safer community and we hope to achieve herd immunity and enjoy the life we used to have.
