Celebrated annually every 2nd of February, this year’s World Wetlands Day theme is β€œWetlands Action for People and Nature” highlighting the importance of actions that ensure the conservation and sustainable management of wetlands and to raise global awareness about its vital role for people and the planet.

With this, the PG-ENRO headed by Enp. One hundred nineteen (119) participants were able to plant 870 mangroves in the wetland area of Sitio Cabugbugan, Pila, Luna, La Union. A Total of 119 participants joined.

Wetlands are essential in providing water-related ecosystem services. They help purify water, provide shelter for juvenile fish and other animals, protect biodiversity and many more. Thus, PG-ENRO encourages every kaprobinsiaan to engage themselves in protecting wetlands in our province.
