'𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘆𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗔𝘀𝗮' 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝟰 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻

A total of 18 Kaprobinsiaan beneficiaries of the Balik Probinsiya, Bagong Pag-Asa Program (BP2) were warmly welcomed in front of the La Union Agri-Tourism Center, City of San Fernando, La Union, on December 7, 2021.

The four families hail from Naguilian, Sudipen, Aringay, and City of San Fernando. Each family were provided with half cavan of rice and two buckets of groceries from the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU); packs of seeds from the Department of Agriculture); and two families were awarded with a 40-square meter housing unit in Aringay, La Union by the National Housing Authority (NHA). More so, each family will receive a transitory family support package, livelihood settlement grants and transitory shelter assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Present to welcome the arriving Kaprobinsiyaan were DSWD Field Office I Regional Director Marie Angela S. Gopalan and Engr. Maria Belinda V. Sevilla of the NHA.

Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-Asa Program aims to provide hope for a better future to Filipinos through equity in resources throughout the country that will boost countryside development; encouraging people, especially informal settlers to return to their home provinces and assist them in this transition with support and incentives on transportation, family livelihood, housing, subsistence and education, among others.

Before the actual day of Dispatch Operation, preparations were made to ensure that all beneficiaries got the needed services and accommodation. The four families were the first batch of beneficiaries of the BP2 Program in the province.
