Senate Committee on Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education Chairman Senator Joel "Tesdaman" Villanueva pays a courtesy visit to the Provincial Capitol, City Government of La Union, on November 28, 2021.
Gov. Pacoy Ortega, together with Congressman Paolo Ortega V, welcomed the senator and had the opportunity to discuss plans and initiatives in helping the Kaprobinsiaan bounce back amidst the CoViD-19 pandemic.
Sen. Joel Villanueva emphasized the pivotal role of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in the government's efforts to get millions of unemployed Filipinos back to work after suffering job loss during the pandemic. Among the programs being pushed through for economic recovery is the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers Program, supporting the province's infrastructure projects and many more.
As the year grows to a close, the PGLU remains steadfast in its fight against the CoViD-19. The road to recovery is one of the province's utmost priorities. PGLU continues to forge ties with different organizations to augment the necessary needs of Kaprobinsiaan to navigate and recover from CoViD-19.
