Community PanTree Goes to Central-Eastern

In support to the monthly Saluad La Union para Serbisyo Agri-turismo, Lako ken Oportunidad (SaLU-SALO) program, the Provincial Government - Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) in collaboration with the Municipalities of Central Eastern Circuit which includes Bauang, Naguilian, Burgos and Bagulin, La Union conducted a Community PanTree on September 25, 2021 distributing free seedlings.
The activity does not only hope to sustain environmental conservation and greenery within the province but also reduces impacts of climate change and address food security by planting more forest and fruit trees. Together with the above mentioned municipalities, the PG-ENRO distributed 130 assorted seedlings of forest and fruit-bearing trees per LGU such as 20 Avocado, 80 Tamarind, 80 Bittaog, 80 Narra, 80 Pakak, 40 Cacao, 40 Jackfruit, 20 sagat and 80 Firetree totaling 520 seedlings.
PG-ENRO led by the Officer-In-Charge Enp. Ayen Rosario Valdez dispersed in four LGUs and with the support of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officers and Municipal Agriculturist of the concerned LGUs.
