PGLU Further Reaches Out for Envi Concerns Resolution

Environmental issues and concerns, such as solid waste management, wastewater management, community-based sanitation, water quality monitoring, greening program and native tree planting activity, artificial reef deployment, and energy conservation, were discussed as the Provincial Government of La Union – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) initiated a follow-up consultation meeting with concerned Local Government Units (LGUs). The consultation was conducted following the discussions during the “Time with Governor” program.
The consultation meetings were conducted with LGU-Santol on June 28, 2021; followed by LGU-Agoo on July 1, 2021; LGU-Balaoan on July 13, 2021; LGU-Rosario on August 31, 2021; LGU-Sto. Tomas on September 1, 2021; and LGU-Pugo on September 23, 2021.
Concerned PGLU offices-the Provincial Health Office and the Provincial Engineering Office, were invited during the consultation meeting while concerned departments of the LGUs including their Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, Municipal Agriculturist Officer, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer, and Municipal Health Officer were also present.
