PGLU Participates in Environment Month, Arbor Day Celebrations

ICYMI: In observance of the Environment Month and Arbor Day which is celebrated every June of the year, the Provincial Government of La Union through Environment and Natural Resources Office joins the simultaneous conduct of tree planting activities as well coastal clean-up in the municipalities of Bacnotan and San Juan, La Union.
Participants were able to plant 83 assorted native forest tree species in the south bank of Baroro river, 450 assorted forest and fruit tree species in Barangay Paagan, Bacnotan, 500 assorted native forest tree species in Barangay Cabugnayan and seven sacks of solid waste collected in the coastal area of Barangay Taboc, San Juan, La Union last June 25, 2021.
The activity is in partnership with the Multi-Sectoral Governance Council (MSGC) Local Governments (LGUs) of Bacnotan and San Juan, HOLCIM Philippines, Bantay Dagat, Barangay Officials, community and Private Citizens.
