During the visit of Gov. Francisco Emmanuel β€œPacoy” R. Ortega III to the Municipality of San Gabriel on June 2, 2021, Mayor Herminigildo M. Velasco expressed their gratitude for the Governor’s guidance through the Stronger La Union strategy and the Provincial Government of La Union’s (PGLU’s) continuous support in terms of the different programs for CoViD-19 response and recovery, as well as the development of the different sectors in the municipality.

During the session, the Governor together with his technical team discussed solutions and proposals to address the raised challenges of the municipality which include, among others, inadequate CoViD-19 test kits and vaccination supplies, lack of support plans and infrastructures for agriculture, revival of tourism, environmental concerns, and access to internet connectivity for education.

Moving forward, Gov. Pacoy assured Mayor Velasco and his team that the PGLU shall never cease to keep an open line of communication for its constituents and shall continuously build stronger ties with component LGUs to ensure that needs-driven, and sustainable Programs, Projects and Activities are implemented to address their concerns. He reiterated that the service of the PGLU shall be relentless during the pandemic notwithstanding.

Through our stronger ties with the Municipal Government of San Gabriel, we shall establish a Stronger La Union: A Province Worth Living In.
