Gen Zs from the different schools in the province participated in the Gen Z Time Program held via Video Conference on March 29 – March 30, 2021. The said program serves as an avenue for the Gen Zs and the Governor to interact and share fresh perspectives in leadership and governance.
During the session, Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” Ortega III emphasized the vital role of Gen Zs as today’s emerging leaders who shall help in reshaping the future of the Province. The Governor shared wisdom and inspiration to encourage greater involvement from the Gen Zs in bringing about transformative governance.
The Gen Z Time Project was also launched, wherein the participants are encouraged to identify pressing issues and concerns in their schools, in their communities, or in the province and propose solutions-oriented initiatives that help improve the lives of the people.
A Question-and-Answer segment with the Governor has also been conducted, where participants have posted questions on the programs of the PGLU in areas of governance, education, employment, infrastructure, and agriculture.
Gen Zs who participated in this program are 18-24 years old residents of La Union. Moving forward, more partnerships shall be forged and reinforced to enable more effective and efficient design and implementation of programs, projects and activities that will better address the needs of the constituents and will be instrumental in building a #StrongerLaUnion.
