The system will produce real time data and accuracy, to improve the processing of transactions, on assessment and treasury services, and to catch up manual errors as soon as possible.
The Office of the Provincial Treasurer and the Office of the Provincial Assessor (OPAss) headed by Ms. Janet D. Molina and Engr. Arnulfo A. Cacho respectively conducted the first of the four batches of trainings this year on the newly implemented treasury module of Enhanced Real Property Taxation System (eRPTS) on March 4, 2021 at the Conference Room of the Office of the Provincial Assessor, LUPAC Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The training was attended personally by five (5) Office of the Municipal Treasurer’s representatives from Agoo, Balaoan, Caba, Bauang, and San Juan, and their other staff through video conference.
The training started with the introduction of the eRPTS presented by Acting Provincial Treasurer Molina followed by the orientation and actual operation on the treasury module of the database system led by Information Technology and Land Patent Unit head Mr. June H. Ramos of OPAss.
The eRPTS is managed in the Provincial Government of La Union with 19 Municipal Assessors offices utilizing it as it computerizes the operations on real property appraisal and assessment of lands buildings, plants and machineries within the bounds of municipalities or the province.
With the installation and implementation of the system in Municipal Treasurer’s Offices, it is expected to make significant advancements and to settle major issues and concerns especially on the treasury operations. The key benefit of the system is to produce real time data and accuracy, to improve the processing of transactions on assessment and treasury services and to catch up manual errors as soon as possible.
