CABA DISTRICT HOSPITAL, LGU CABA INTENSIFIES PARTNERSHIP FOR VACCINATION

VACCINATION COORDINATION MEETING. With the aim to intensify partnership between Caba District Hospital (CDH), Rural Health Unit and Local Government Unit of Caba, CDH conducts a coordination meeting on March 4, 2021 at the Chief of Hospital Office, CDH, Caba, La Union. Topics discussed were the deployment and vaccination plan for CoViD-19 vaccines; schedule of vaccination for eligible target population; issues on human resource compliment for vaccination team; Adverse Effects Following Immunization Surveillance; back-up plan on cold chain management for CoViD-19 vaccines of RHU Caba; and vaccination site and referral system.
Caba District Hospital (CDH) conducted a coordination meeting with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) and Local Government Unit of Caba, La Union on March 4, 2021 at the Chief of Hospital (COH) Office, CDH, Poblacion Caba, La Union.
Nurse Francis P. Valdez presented the CoViD-19 vaccination program of the Province of La Union including the deployment and vaccination plan for CoViD-19 vaccines; schedule of vaccination for eligible target population; issues on human resource compliment for vaccination team; Adverse Effects Following Immunization (AEFI) Surveillance; back-up plan on cold chain management for CoViD-19 vaccines of RHU Caba; and vaccination site and referral system. Nurse Valdez also presented the microplanning and activity plan to the LGU and RHU Caba and parties agreed that eligible target population with comorbidities will be vaccinated at CDH.
There was a suggestion for a two days per week schedule for each municipality pending approval for the other RHUs. The need for LGU-Caba to request manpower augmentation to the Department of Health and Provincial Government of La Union for their vaccination program was noted. It was also agreed upon that the vaccines allocated for LGU- Caba be temporarily stored in the available refrigerator of CDH.
The said activity, participated in by CDH Chief Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin, CDH Nurse Francis P. Valdez, SBM Dr. Conrado A. Vito, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Dianne T. Palo and RHU Nurse Lorna Picardal, aimed to intensify partnership and to have a smooth execution and well-coordinated CoViD-19 vaccination roll-out between Caba District Hospital and its catchment municipalities.
