Commitment to Environmental Sustainability in LU Re-affirmed

SYNERGY FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) for La Union, Engr. Raymundo C. Gayo paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Pacoy Ortega on February 4, 2021, to discuss partnership opportunities for the environmental governance initiatives of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU). Gov. Pacoy, PGLU ENRO OIC-Department Head Annalyn R. Valdez, Engr. Gayo and other La Union PENRO officers also discussed the other environmental programs such as Biodiversity Assessment, Forest Resource Management, Watershed Management, Solid Waste Management, among others. To provide insights to these environmental initiatives, PENRO La Union presented its 2020 Annual Report to the Governor.
As they re-affirmed their commitment in championing environmental sustainability, Gov. Pacoy and PENRO La Union shall continue to forge strong collaboration and synergy in the implementation of various environmental initiatives in the province.
